Down 200 lbs today
on 10/28/17 3:48 am
It has been just under 11 months since surgery. I posted a couple of weeks ago for the occasion of my one year anniversary. I've only lost a few more pounds since then, but I have hit a major milestone. Today, I stepped onto my scale to see that I have shed 200 lbs since starting this process.
When I started, they told me the "average weight loss for surgery" would put me at the 350 lb mark. I resolved to do better than average. I did not expect to do this much better. I am still heavier just below my own personal goal than many people are when they start, and the BMI chart will forever label me as obese. But I know better than that. I am 281 lbs today. I posted this picture for my one year anniversary. I am 4-5 lbs heavier in it, so it will do for this post as well. This is what a BMI of over 38 looks like here at my house these days.
