Whatcha Eating Today VSGers? Friday 10/27/17
Good Morning, VSGers! Can you believe that it's nearly November? I hadn't really thought about it until I woke up to a seriously cold house this morning for the first time. It's always our goal to make it until November 1st without having to heat the house. It looks like we might make it because tomorrow is supposed to be 70 degrees again!
QOTD: Do you like it warm or cold while you sleep? Surgery has made me terribly cold-blooded, but I still love to sleep where it's the room temperature is in the high 50's or low 60's. It's so great to snuggle under blankets!

Good morning! So glad it's Friday!
QOTD - I love a cold room to sleep in, and thankfully the constant coldness I felt a few weeks after surgery is gone. I'm back to my warm self, and cold rooms feel good again. The only thing I dislike is getting into a cold bed, but I've found that putting a ho****er bottle under the covers while I'm brushing my teeth warms it up nicely.
B - latte, cottage cheese
L - shrimp, avocado verde
S - protein shake
D - sausage, edamame
E - fitness test, lots of stretching
water and vitamins on track

QOTD: I am so cold all the time being 200 lbs lighter. However for sleeping I need it cool. I would rather it be cold where I can snuggle under the blankets.
Breakfast-my simple egg salad which is 2 eggs with a tbsp or mayo and 2 tsp of brown mustard.
Lunch-pork tenderloin and turnips
Dinner-kc strip steak and bacon. Meat heavy dinner
snack-maybe a protein drink
Good morning,
Qotd I like it warm in the 70s.
B ham and cheese omelette and string cheese
L tuna, cottage cheese and honeycrisp apple
D spaghetti squash casserole
Have a good day
I woke up this morning and decided that I needed pizza. So I ordered pizza to be delivered for lunch at 1pm. I haven't eaten pizza since surgery, I blame my period for today's desire. And I don't feel any guilt about it - I hope to fully enjoy every bite of my treat.
Other than pizza.. Art gets home from his trip today, yay! I've got to finish up my PPTX for class so I can record my narration tomorrow. I've got dinner prep off and on throughout the day and I need to put away laundry that has piled up on Art's bed while he has been gone and clean off the couch he usually sits on because when I got home from my pre-op with my surgeon on Tuesday I just sort of dumped my entire bag out on Art's couch and haven't done anything since then :P
QOTD: I like the air to be cool and keep the house at 66 with fans on low in the bedrooms. However, I need my body to be warm or I can't actually get to sleep. This means I have my own personal comforter that I pile on top of myself, dual control electric mattress pads, and, when I'm really cold, I'll add pajamas and fuzzy socks.
1: protein shake
2: bacon and double pineapple pizza
3: sous vide sausages - crisped in skillet after sous vide (homemade bratwurst and lamb/feta), pea salad with potato added
liquid and vites: on track
exercise: walk around the block if I have time!

Good morning from warm, sunny California! I went to a harbor near here to walk around and eat a upper early dinner last night (for the time zone here - it was 5, but my head said it was 8).
QOTD: I am with you - I like it cold and like to snuggle under blankets. I need a fan running if it is over 65.
1 year, 7 months post-op (maintenance). 10 work days to retirement (11/13).
B: Scrambled eggs - they let me pay $5.50 to get eggs and cottage cheese from the buffet (said I could take as much as I want). So I had eggs this morning and mixed the cottage cheese and eggs for emipie egg salad for the next 2 mornings. You really need to get creative sometimes when traveling after WLS!
L: I am thinking the meat from a sandwich which I will split between multiple meals
D: ?
S: protein bar?

Good afternoon from the OH conference! I've met a few very nice people and am ready for the sessions this afternoon.
QOTD: I like to be in a very cold room with very heavy warm blankets. Perfection!
B - coffee and yogurt
L - protein box with a turkey sandwich from Starbucks
D - leftover grilled steak kabob
I hope you all had a good day! I got a late start today.
QOTD: I love to sleep in a cold room. I have an extra window air conditioner in the bedroom. I like to keep it low sixties and then sleep with two blankets and a comforter in a heated water bed. Sadly, my bedroom has been uninhabitable since the hurricane though so I've been sleeping on the couch. Bleh.
29 days post-op
M1: leftover pork chop
M2: shrimp
M3: TBD w/ a scoop of protein powder
M4: scallops
M5: leftover chicken rollup
S: TBD
E: None.
Vites and water: Water and Vites on track.
