Hangry
Thanks, trying! Already lost 5 lbs I'm two days. I'm sure water weight, but was still excited this morning!!!
Happy to hear you're holding strong! Mind over matter! Keep yourself as busy as you can and avoid activities where you used to snack a lot to avoid temptation. I was seriously dieting before my two weeks of liquids, so I didn't feel as hungry as some, but it was definitely there. I can tell you that by the end of my two weeks, I was sooooo ready to have the surgery!
You can definitely do this! Sounds like you're feeling strong and that's a good thing!
I definitely hated the pre-op liquid phase---it was by far the worst for me. My sister had her VSG two years before me and gave me this advice: "just try not to think about it". I was "hangry" at the time and that super annoyed me. But now, in retrospect, that's all a person can do.
I'm sending you virtual good vibes--you've got this.
Thanks so much. It's comforting knowing there are so many on the forum that have been through the same.
The tired and achy feeling is known as the "carb flu" where your body is reacting to the lack of instant energy you would get from eating carbs. It now has to turn to protein for energy, which is why getting plenty of protein is important right now. This feeling does go away.

Well that makes sense because that is exactly how I feel. Definitely staying on top the protein. Thanks!
Hi I'm new to the board and I'm on day 3 of the liquid diet. I'm trying hard to stick with it. My surgery date is November 6
