Thankful for my surgery!
Today is 1 month since my surgery and also a huge milestone...
I'M 6 MONTHS TOBACCO FREE TODAY! NO CIGARETTES! NOTHING!
If it wasn't for me having surgery, I would still be smoking a pack a day and wasting money and being unhealthy.

I also quit smoking six months before my RNY surgery. I think back to how insanely UNHEALTHY I was... 350 lbs... a smoker... with daily joint pain... and it seems like it was a different person! I now feel strong and healthy and capabie of anything. Congratulations on quitting smoking and taking your life back. That's no small feat but your lungs and heart thank you!
Amazing, good for you!

That is a tremendous accomplishment! Both smoking and eating are far more than the physical. There is a huge mental factor involved as well. My hat is off to you. To do both in the relatively short time period testifies to your strength. When and if things get rough remember that you were able to kick TWO habits that some people struggle and fail to kick one of.
