I should mention that I threw up, a lot, the first two days but that was a reaction to the morphine and there was no nausea, just a sudden whooosh.

I was terrified of vomiting post-op but it really wasn't bad. One perk is that because my pouch holds so little, there's very little vomit.

Typically morphine is the trigger for a lot of post-op nausea. You'll almost always be on anti-nausea meds (usually Zofran) if you are also on morphine.

The biggest contributor for nausea is dehydration. Many do not drink enough to meet their body's needs in the first few months, and the body is quick to react.
