Omeprazole post-op
Did you have to take omeprazole post-op? If yes, for how long, & how did you take it before being able too swallow a capsule?

Yes. The Rx says up to 3 months, at which time my surgeon will assess.
I take a dissolvable tablet (I'm one week post-op).

I took nexium for 3-6 months post-op. The pills were small enough that I could swallow them from day 1 after surgery.

Thanks! Nexium option sounds way more palatable, it's what they gave me in the hospital. Will ask my dr. about switching.

My surgeon had me take them for 2-3 months, after I was able to swallow a capsule. I haven't needed it since then.
