Good luck - reorgs stink. Though I am able to retire, everyone else in my department had their jobs eliminated as well (last day 11/13), so there is a lot of angst going around.

Today is a relaxing day for once! We are taking the Suburban that we just finished (it already has a name, Lilly)and we are going to see the fall leaves. We will put on 150-200 miles while never hitting a highway. Ahhhh!

QOTD, We LOVE smoked meats! That pink of the pork is from the smoke penetrating the meat. It is commonly known as a "smoke ring".

Out to lunch for a friend's birthday today. Should be fun!

QOTD: I love smoked meat too! I bought a smoker for MI a few years ago and it churns out some delicious smoky goodness...

B - coffee and greek yogurt with raspberries, blueberries and walnuts

L - I think I'll order the salmon and roasted veggies

D - either leftover salmon and veggies or meatballs in marinara with cheese

Good morning, sounds like everyone is doing well so far today! I rarely sleep in either Erin, my eyes just open up between 5-5:30am for the past seven years or so. Going to Costco today to stock up on proteins for the challenge starting tomorrow. I want so much to be in the 160's by Thanksgiving with my ultimate goal being 146 by February!

QOTD-I never developed the taste for smoked meats, I don't like BBQ flavor of any kind. Not sure why, just don't care for the flavor I guess.

B-Chia/flax porridge with pumpkin seeds and shaved coconut.

L-Left over soup

D-Not sure, something from Costco?

S-Chai tea w/vanilla protein shake

E-Taking my dog to local state park for hike on trails, hoping to take some pictures.

My hip is feeling a little better today. Resting it is helping.

Yesterday at my brothers chili cook off party, my chili won first place.

Qotd I like smoked meat

B ham and cheese omelette and string cheese

had a piece of cake at church

L tuna, cottage cheese and honeycrisp apple

S large sf vanilla iced coffee

D planning crack slaw and coleslaw but lm going to my Dad's it could change

Ugh, waited until the last minute to start my final papers...imagine that?! They don't call me the Procrastination Queen for nothing! lol So, writing all day today, and I need to go to the store because I'm out of fresh zucchini! AAAHHH!! I can't survive without my zucchini, so will probably take a break between papers to run to the store. Once these are done the pressure is off, so that will be nice. I commiserate with niece, who is also taking classes and is also a procrastinator. We're on a race now to see who can get done first lol.

QOTD: I love smoked meats, but don't have a smoker or anything. You know I get my smoked pulled pork at the local smokehouse every week, can't live without it. I've tried their chicken and turkey, not as crazy about it. I'm too cheap to buy beef lol, so the pork will do.

B: Dannon L&F 80 w/almond butter and Fiber One, Coffee w/H&H and xylitol

L: Turkey snack sticks and Swirls cheese sticks (zucchini if I get to the store before I eat.

D: Smoked pulled pork, fresh zucchini w/homemade horseradish sauce

Good Morning All - Back at work after 8 days holiday. It was wonderful. Didnt want to come back to work but bills to pay :) I thought I would have put on weight as I wasnt as diligent as I should be and we drank wine but I lost nearly 2 lbs! We did walk a lot each day so I think that helped. I am nearly at onederland - have stopped myself weighing every day as it was messing with my head. Will weigh again on Wednesday and see if I am there - crossing fingers.

E: More yard work at home - we are building retaining walls and also pressure cleaning back deck at the moment
