Whatcha Eating Today VSGers? Thursday 10/12/17
Morning! I don't feel like I slept much. Jon was supposed to be home around 10pm and due to flight delays didn't walk through the door until 3:15am. Of course, my body wanted to get up then and it took awhile to go back to sleep and then I realized that my alarm wasn't on and I slept until 6am. Anyway, life goes on!
QOTD: If money were no object, what would your dream home look like? Mine would be a Norwegian style loft. White walls, light wood flooring, and very little STUFF. I am not a hoarder. Nothing causes me more anxiety than clutter or useless objects laying around. This is always a point of stress for me with the kids. Or maybe I'd just have a tiny home and the ability to move it/travel - but I can't see doing that with my husband and my kids.

M2: Fage Total w/ SF Pudding Mix and Sunflower Seeds
M3: BBQ Chicken "Pizza" (going to try out a SF BBQ sauce I got in my Keto Krate)
M4: Chicken Sausage & Veggies (I swear I'm actually going to cook this!)
S: Protein Bar, String Cheese, Pecans & Yogurt w/ Pecans
E: Kettlebell again, which is going to be painful because I'm still so sore!

I spoke on the phone with my nut yesterday (she was sick when I had my last follow-up). She wants me to start eating more vegetables and fruits. She said as long as I'm hitting my protein goal, I can add them in as a snack. I'm excited about eating more vegetables (I immediately ran to the store to get some stuff to roast) but I'm feeling pretty wary about the fruit. Most of the people on here seem to avoid it because of the carbs. Maybe blending some berries into my shake wouldn't be too bad?
QOTD - my dream house would be an old stone farm house, with plenty of land. It would be cozy but not cluttered (because like Erin, it drives me nuts). One room would be devoted to a library.
B - 2% Fairlife latte
L - leftover salmon, broccoli
S - protein shake, roasted broccoli and mushrooms
D - chicken soup (will probably add some unflavored protein powder to mine)
E - I was hoping to walk, but it's pouring. Maybe kettle bells
water and vitamins on track

You're early out for both veggies and fruit. I was 5 months before I had more than a bite of either. You really shouldn't have much room for either. NUTs tend not to know what the heck they are talking about too.

I probably started small amounts of soft veggies at your point, then progressed slowly. I think broccoli was later for me. I still avoid having much fruit (because of calories) and eat small amounts of vegetables. I find that protein based snacks fill me up more.

I'd keep skipping the fruits. Blending them into your shakes will still add unnecessary sugar AND make them even easier to consume since they'll be "liquid" effectively. For veggies, I was able to eat a bite or two after eating my protein.

Good morning! I haven't been sleeping great this week so I'm tired and this is going to be a LONG day (I usually have a short day on Thursdays but I swapped for Tuesday so we could go to the beach - payback time).
QOTD: My house would be a classic style New England sea coast home: light and bright and on the water (either a VERY protected harbor or a pond/lake). It wouldn't be that big, but it would have tons of windows and high wood ceilings (older picture of our sunroom below is an example of what the rooms would be like).
1.5 years post-op (maintenance). 20 work days to retirement (11/13).
B: eggbeaters, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon
L: Tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese
D: 1/2 cheeseburger (no bun)
S: pumpkin yogurt

Ugh, poor Jon with the delays. :/
I slept oddly last night - super strange dreams. But, today goes on. I've got lab work for my last reconstructive surgery and then school. I'm feeling like I might actually be able to finish everything except forum replies by bedtime tonight which would be amazing. We shall see!
QOTD: I honestly don't know. It would need to be comfortable, homey, filled with bookcases, an amazing kitchen, but also minimalist. I'd love to live in an architecturally stunning house - like Wright's Falling Water House. Something with two master suites and three offices would also be amazing.
1: protein shake after lab work
2: leftover sous vide salmon?
3: I'm going to try heating up smoked ribs in the sous vide. Fingers crossed that it'll work well!
liquid and vites: on track
exercise: nope

Good morning,
Qotd I would have a house on the beach with lots of windows and a big deck.
B ham and cheese omelette and string cheese
L tuna, cottage cheese and honeycrisp apple
D crack slaw and if I have room coleslaw
Have a good day
Hey ya'll! Been MIA. All is complete on the Hospice front and life can start getting back to 'normal' after the memorial on Saturday. Considering, since the first of September, when all this started, I have gained 12.2 pounds... Top it all off, the eldest cousin of my year (there are four of us), had a TIA yesterday. Thank heavens he is 'back to normal' this morning.
QOTD: If money were no object... I would hire someone to clean my house and build a 2-1/2 to 3 car garage to play in, and to store a lot of clutter...
Diet is still scattered:
AM: SF white chocolate Almond Rocha Mocha
S: Cheese Stick
L: Chicken, Cottage Cheese, and Hummus (haven't had this for a couple weeks)
S: Van PP
D: TBD w/Family
And thank you so very much for those who have gone out of their way to check in on me. It was a wonderful feeling to know there were people out there thinking of me!
