Whatcha Eating Today VSGers? Monday 10/9/17
I'm still off work since figuring out I'm dairy intolerant and spend most of my downtime trying to figure out new meal options to meet my protein goals in the soft food stage. At least my doctor let me move on from pureed a week early due to the dairy problem.
This week I'll be chasing my cross country runner and making the trip to have my one month follow up with my surgeon. Return to work take 2 is Monday.
B: 1 egg and 1 egg white with everything seasoning
S1: Protein nutmilk
L: Two turkey meatballs and cooked carrots
S2: Protein nutmilk
D: 3 oz pulled pork with sugar free bbq sauce and mashed cauliflower
I hope you and your husband get a some quality time together.
Are you doing okay? Your daily meal posts seem very angry recently.

I'm extremely irritated and unhappy that my weight has been at a virtual stand-still for months despite following my program and despite an amazing amount of exercise and movement.
I have my surgiversary in two months and I am no closer to my surgeon's goal than I was three months ago, to say nothing of my own goal. There are others here who at this point were already past goal and beginning maintenance.

I'm sorry, that sounds very frustrating. Are you interested in advice or suggestions?

This is advice based on what I've read in your posts, so it might be off base since I'm not seeing the whole picture.
1) I recommend that you start weighing and tracking everything you eat and drink. I get the impression that you're not doing this and that's the first place to start when your weight isn't doing what you want it to for an extended period of time.
2) Your exercise is awesome, but I think you're falling into the trap of thinking that it'll help with weight loss. Exercise is awesome for your health, but diet is what's necessary for weight loss. There's a saying "you can't out run a bad diet." Or, in your case, out walk, or out stair climb. You've mentioned before the calories you've burned through exercise and that tends to be a bad way to think because it leads to eating back those calories. Most caloric estimates for exercise are woefully inaccurate as well, so it's best to ignore them.
3) It looks like you eat out often. Eating with friends is great, but it's easy to overeat while distracted and it can be harder to make healthy choices when eating out. Lots of "hidden" calories in cooking fats, sauces, etc. (It's also harder to accurately log food that's been prepared by other people.)
So, those are my suggestions to get the scale moving in the right direction - measure/track everything, don't think exercise will help with weight loss, and cut back on the distracted eating and eating out.

My goal for the week is to get all of my school work finished by end of day on Thursday so I won't have to do any work while Art and I take a long weekend in Shenandoah to celebrate our 20th. Whee.
QOTD: I hope that this current situation resolves itself quickly.
1: protein shake
2: soup
3: it's leftover night - maybe chili?
liquid and vites: on track
exercise: nope
