Hi everyone, my name is Jenny! I started my weight loss journey in June, 3.5 months into it. I have lost about 8lbs and I can only loose about 10lbs or I won't be eligible for surgery. I've had a few bumps along the way, my mother passed away unexpectedly a little over a month into my journey. I also started a new job in a new school, I'm a Paraprofessional, that has no air conditioning. I have asthma and it got totally out of control which met that I had to be on antibiotics and a steroid = weight gain :( Needless to say it's been rough :(
I meet with the surgeon in 2 weeks and excited to hear what he has to say. I really need to do something, just saw a picture of me that we took yesterday for my sons homecoming and I wanted to cry.
Just wanted to introduce myself and say hi! I'm always open to advice.

So sorry about the loss of your mother! That takes a terrible emotional toll on you and makes simple things hard.
I'm also new and just starting my journey! I'm meeting with my surgeon in the beginning of November. The nurse on the phone I spoke with told me to make sure that I don't lose any weight before that appointment or else I will no longer be eligible for surgery as well. I have about 10lbs of 'wiggle room' right now before I would no longer be eligible-- any my weight fluctuates pretty frequently. (I'm waiting to hear back if my insurance will approve if I drop below BMI 35 once I'm starting to meet with a nutritionist as well- - I'm hoping that I can drop slightly below or else that is going to be tough to meet.)
I'm also excited to get the journey started, but worried about the weight loss preventing me. Hopefully we're able to make it happen! Best of luck to you!
