Morning! It appears I did not get the job I was hoping for. I heard through the grapevine that they have offered it to someone else. No one will confirm anything until it's accepted. I guess that's the really crappy part of being in a director position and applying for another position - you hear everything. I sat down with my boss yesterday and he's on board with trying to get my current position shaped into something that's actually engaging for me. I'm going to be taking a 4-day long training in the Hartford, CT area in a couple weeks. I love to travel for work so now I have that to look forward to which helps a little.

QOTD: Do you eat protein bars? If so, which ones do you love and hate? I eat them occasionally and really love the Power Crunch bars. I've also had luck with the Quest Cereal Bars and the Clean Whey Power Bars. I will eat the normal Quest bars in a pinch but I don't love them. FitJoy bars make me ill and I tried Combat bar the other day that made me spit it out it tasted so bad (though I've tried others that weren't terrible).

8 months post-op/Maintenance/135.2lbs

M1: Coffee, PP, Miralax & HC

M2: Fage Total w/ SF Pudding Mix and Peanut Butter

M3: Buffalo Chicken Salad (Chicken, Ranch, Hot Sauce, Plain Greek Yogurt)

M4: Pork Tenderloin

S: Yogurt w/ Pecans. Going out for "happy hour" with co-workers so I'll save some calories for the potential for popcorn.

E: Ugh, this week has sucked for exercise and I'm feeling stiff and in need of time for more. Once Board of Trustees is over it will be easier. Sounds like it's pouring rain this morning too!

Good morning! Sorry to hear about the job, Erin. That sounds frustrating.

QOTD - I've tried a couple of protein bars. We got some boxes of muscle milk bars really cheap. They were on clearance at target and we had coupons, so they came down to about $3 a box. I've only eaten half of one so far. The carbs are really high, so I'm saving them for situations when I really can't get a normal meal (like when I have evening meetings). I also tried a thinkThin bar when I was ravenous at the grocery store a few days ago. I always pack a shake to drink on the ride home from work, but it tasted soapy (I was in a hurry and must not have rinsed the shaker bottle well enough). The thinkThin bar had a wonderful picture of salted caramel on it, but tasted like every other protein bar I've ever tried.

B - 2% Fairlife latte, cottage cheese

L - leftover sausage and edamame

S - protein shake

D - chicken soup (with some unflavored protein powder in mine)

E - yoga video

water and vitamins on track

I'm sorry about the job. Not a great way to hear about it! I'm only working until 11 this morning (yeah!).

QOTD: I only use Quest bars (regular and cereal). I buy boxes of them online so I have them available when needed. I like the chocolate chip cookie dough and oatmeal chocolate chip for regular and the cinnamon cereal bar.

1.5 years post-op (maintenance). 24 work days to retirement (11/13).

B: eggbeaters, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: Out to lunch

D: possibly out to dinner - otherwise real good pizza

S: protein chips, Baked apple

Crummy news, Erin :/ But it's great that your boss is willing to work with you to make your current job better!

I'm still feeling sick, but at least I have meds. I've got a Vyvanse follow up today and then I'm driving up to spend the weekend with my mom. Any other week, I'd cancel on my trip, but I can't this time. I have things I need to talk about with her in person AND I'm her ride to the airport on Sunday. So it all just sucks.

QOTD: I only eat the Quest bars. I don't love them enough for them to call to me, but they're fine in an emergency.

1: soup
2: soup
3: ice cream
4: dinner at mom's so no idea

liquid and vites: on track
exercise: nope

Sorry to hear about the job Erin.

QOTD: I use Simple Truth protein bars or Pure protein. I have food allergies and neither of these seem to be an issue. I'm nervous to try other ones because my food allergy stems from and fruit or veggie pollinated with birch. Apples are a big one and I know some bars have dried fruits in them.

B: L&F Greek yogurt with Fiber one bran on top, coffee

L: 2 oz deli turkey with 2 slices thin Colby jack cheese, 1/2 banana

D: White chicken chili

S: Protein bar

E: walking

Ooh! Lance has the same oral allergy syndrome! It sucks.

I just have fructose malabsorption which makes apples a no go for me. Food allergies make like so exciting, eh? :P

Yes it does suck. So many fruits and veggies are on the "NO" list because of the potential to cause allergic reaction. It took them a while to figure out what I was allergic too because apples, grapes, pineapples, carrots, etc all sent me to the ER with hives and throat swelling. I'd never heard of fructose malabsorption until you mentioned it, but I bet it's not fun either.

Good afternoon,

I had fun at the unofficial class reunion last night. I did have two ****tails and ate when I got home.

Qotd once in awhile I'll have some. I have quest bars on hand, s'more flavor. I like the protein bars that my weight loss clinic sells but don't buy very often. I rather eat real food.

B ham and cheese omelette and string cheese

L tuna, cottage cheese and honeycrisp apple

D honey mustard bratwurst and carrots

Have a wonderful day

Good morning! Sorry about the job Erin, glad your boss is willing to shape your position into something that you might like a little better.

Doing a bit of fall organizing and cleaning today. I should have had a yard sale, but there never seemed to be the right weekend for it.

QOTD-I used to eat Quest's coconut cashew, strawberry cheesecake and banana nut. I don't know if it is me or they changed their recipe, I don't like them anymore.

B-Greek yogurt w/pumpkin and flax seeds

L-deviled eggs and string cheese

S-Chai tea w/vanilla protein shake

D-Taco pie(minus the crescent roll crust for me)

E-Perfect day for a walk, Emmy was feeling pretty good about herself and her new hair cut:-)
