Morning. I'm running behind this morning, so I don't have a lot to say. I think I could have actually slept in this morning and been fine with it. I'm not on my game. I'll let someone else do a QOTD if they can think of one!

Good morning! Hopefully you'll catch up on your day Erin!

QOTD: Who had the most influence on your life forming who you are (positive or negative)? For me, it was probably my mother but not in the way you would assume at first. My father died when my mother was 43, then her oldest son (my brother) died two years later. My mother became an alcoholic so my previously average middle class life changed drastically after I turned 14. I became a mother at 17, divorcee at 22, and remarried at 26. I became a very strong person, but also very controlling (often characteristics of an adult child of an alcoholic). It has suited me well in getting me through college and graduate school, helping my oldest daughter through her illness and death, and now taking charge with my DS' illness. It also made me the take charge person I am at work and at home. BTW, my mother stopped drinking about 30 years later and I was lucky to be able to know the humorous, interesting person she really was during the last 15 years of her life.

1.5 years post-op (maintenance). 25 work days to retirement (11/13).

B: eggbeaters, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: Emiepie's egg salad

D: 1/2 Real Good Pizza (didn't get to have it last night)

S: protein chips, Baked apple

Good morning! I'm rethinking my 5K ambitions (at least for now). I can do kettle bells after my son goes to bed, and I can take walks with him in the afternoon, but the only time I really have that I can walk/run by myself is early in the morning. I'm already getting up between 5:30 and 6, and going to bed at 9:30 so I can get up in time. I've been trying all week to get up earlier to run, and I haven't managed once.

QOTD - I think my grandmother was the most influential person. She had a pretty standard life for her generation, and certainly had her share of troubles, but she enjoyed her simple pleasures. One of the things she said is how important it is to actually enjoy your children. I remind myself of this frequently, especially on those days when I'm just willing bedtime to come earlier.

B - 2% Fairlife latte, cottage cheese

L - chicken salad

S - protein shake with PB2

D - cheese omelette

E - afternoon walk in the park

water and vitamins on track

Got **** news yesterday and I was successful at not drowning my feelings in ice cream. However, this morning I woke up with all my classic signs of sinus infection so once I'm finished at urgent care (for antibiotics) I'll head to the store to stock up on soup, cough drops, and mint chocolate chip ice cream.

Thankfully I found I have a bit of a respite with my school work this week but respite means "due next week instead of this week" so I'm still going to try to get as much done as I can today. I just won't be as stressed about it. Which is good, since I have other things to stress about.

QOTD: Myself. Other people have certainly had, and continue to have, significant impact on me but, ultimately, I'm the one.

1-10: soups, mint chocolate chip ice cream (maybe I'll try out the "healthier" varieties)

liquid and vites: on track

exercise: nope. But my arms feel awesomely sore from Pilates yesterday!

I am glad I am not the only one who can eat yogurt twice in one day.

What is this anomaly? A handful of popcorn? :)
