When were you able to function normally again after surgery?

I went back to work a week post op, I work in a dental office so I'm on my feet pretty much most of the day.

i also went back to school 10 days post op! Everything went fine. The only issue I had was my back pack was slightly heavier than I was allowed to carry, so I had to pack it as lightly as I possibly could!

You can drive when you no longer need pain meds. Most are off within a week.

They will have you walking hours after surgery and encourage you to keep walking, but you'll be too fatigued to do much for a few weeks. I'm talking like going three houses down the sidewalk and back was something I worked up to.

Housework - need to make sure you don't lift/push/pull more than 8 lbs for 8 weeks. This is the weight of a gallon of milk.

Don't be surprised if you're in a brain fog for several weeks. It took me six weeks to shake that fog. If your job requires critical thinking, this could imped that, and some have made some serious errors returning to work too early.
