Whatcha Eating Today VSGers? Tuesday 9/26/17
Good Morning! I'm returning to work, class, and fitness class today after a long weekend. It feels a little like waking up too early, I'm not quite sure I'm ready! I have reading to do that I'm definitely not ready for actually. Plus, it's supposed to be over 90 degrees here again. My kid's school isn't air-conditioned so they've really been scorching during the day.
QOTD: What's your favorite exercise to do? Mine, by far, is hiking. But, we've been pushing it so much with the kids they are getting sick of going and it's no fun to go and listen to them gripe the whole time. Jon & I will be going to VT this weekend and will be hiking on Sunday, that should be fun!

My favorite type of exercise is kayaking. When I was 19, I spent a summer in Florida and kayaked all the time. I had some great arm muscles. We bought a house last year that's on a tidal creek. Unfortunately there's not a good place to launch. I took the kayak out twice last year, and flipped it both times trying to get in or out. I haven't tried this year. Hopefully I get cleared for exercise at my appointment this week, so I can clear some brush and dead trees that are blocking a nice sandy area.
B - 2% Fairlife latte, cottage cheese
L - left over beef tips
S - protein shake
D - salmon
E - 9k steps (will try to walk around inside the building a few times as it will be too hot to walk outside with my son after work)
Water and vitamins on track

Happy Tuesday! I'm on the office for one of the few remaining times. Seems strange after all of these years.

Good morning! It's hot here as well - same, 90s, muggy, yuck. My favorite exercise is walking or zumba. I don't have much opportunity to zumba lately, so walking it is!
B: 1/2 cinn raisin bagel with c****d coffee
L: leftover sauce from chicken last night (garden tomato, garlic, garden oregano, wine, YUM) over shrimp
D: leftovers - pork, beef terriaki, salad
E: walk
L/V: on track
VSG on 04/28/2014
I always loved swimming. It's great exercise for both upper body and lower body but with less impact on the joints. I've tried a few water Zumba classes in the past and they were fun.
B: L&F Greek yogurt with bran buds, coffee
L: 2 oz deli meat with 2 thin slices cheese, 1/2 banana
D: turkey bean chili
S: protein bar
E might check out some chair exercises since my knee is still pretty bad

Good morning, Erin and everyone!
I'm still on plan, although its getting harder, and I'm sneaking in some extra snacks which slows the weight loss. I only have 3.5 weeks until I leave for my vacation, and I'm still hoping to lose a few more pounds. I always gain 5 to 8 pounds when I travel and I don't want to see a new high when I return.
breakfast - salmon
lunch - buffalo chicken spaghetti squash casserole
dinner - ground beef and cabbage casserole
snack - cucumber and red peppers with spicy peanut sauce - yum and an atkins peanut butter cup

I had a lovely day yesterday - lunch with a friend and bra shopping! My first "real" bras since my mastopexy. My surgeon told me to expect a small C/large B and I'm actually a D. w00t, w00t! I'm now in a 32D, I think that, pre-VSG, I was wearing something like a 46DDD. I'm amazed daily at this new body and thrilled that it's mine!
QOTD: This is a hard one. I've got a pretty strong three way tie between yoga, pilates, and running. Yoga might edge out the other two, but just by the barest of margins. Never would have considered pilates or running prior to VSG, and I'd never liked yoga the times I'd tried it earlier in my life. Pretty spiffy. :)
1: protein shake
2: leftover pork and cucumber salad
3: Spice-Crusted Steaks, tomato tart (I got some local heirlooms over the weekend, so I've got to use them up! I'm basically just baking a pre-made pie crust, topping it with boursin, and layering sliced tomatoes on top then drizzling with balsamic.)
liquid and vites: on track
exercise: nope - and my foot is in agony just from yesterday's walking in Old Town. I'm really glad I'm seeing the podiatrist on Tuesday.
