Overnight oats
on 9/19/17 11:40 am
saw my nutritionist and she said 1. I wasn't eating enough of anything let alone protein
2. I was so confused about what to eat since I gained 15 lbs on depression
meds that most of the time I would just eat skinny pop, the whole bag
for dinner. I gave up.
3. I wasn't drinking enough water
4. wasn't taking vitamins, did exercise but not like before
5. was having heart palpitations all day long and anxiety, re: using up my
muscle mass for food
6. She revamped my meal plan, I feel its so much carbs I'm scared. but I
do like overnight oats as compared to nothing or an egg. Need motivation
actually the fat shaking on my stomach & back should be motivation .ugh
Slow and steady. And take this as a chance to "reset". Look forward, not back. Your success is your next meal not the last one. So plan what you'll have to eat next. Make sure it's on plan. Go for it. Then plan your next one... then the next one... And move. Take a 10 minute walk. Go buy some flowers or something nice to treat yourself. Today is a new start. A gift.
Hey - haven't seen you in a while and almost didn't recognize you with the name change.
I'd assume that you're not at your goal, so I'd skip the carbs. As I've recommended numerous times in the past - please see a therapist. A therapist you click with should be able to help you find motivation for improving your health. Until you find that motivation, I'm not sure that any eating plan will benefit you. Self-loathing probably isn't the best source of motivation for long term success.
Get at least 64 ounces of liquid in, take your vites, and get a minimum of 60-80 grams of protein into your body every day. You've gotten tons of recommendations from OHers over the years you've been posting, so I'm not sure why you're claiming this extreme confusion over how you should be eating.
Good luck to you.

One of the main things I attribute my "success" to is that I stay active here. It gives me a sense of accountability and lets me see people who are succeeding and people who aren't, this helps to reinforce, daily, what I need to do if I want to be successful.

Depression meds on their own do not cause weight gain-- it's the poor eating that does.
Even as a supposedly heavy-lifting gym rat, you do not need the carbs from overnight oats.
