cooking with wontons?
I just came across 30 healthy things to do with wontons on Pinterest. It does not have the nutritional value of the wonton itself listed. I was just wondering if anyone has made recipes with them. there is a delicious looking mini chicken taco I would love to try when I'm further out if these are ok for the sleeve.
If you're going to include things like wonton wraps, tortillas, bread, etc., in your diet after surgery, then you should be able to eat them. I would caution against using anything with white flour though, and from what I've read here, most plans recommend whole grains if you're going to eat them. I haven't seen a whole wheat wonton wrap yet, but that doesn't mean they're not out there. Watch the carbs, and track all that just like anything else. My advice would be to forget about them and stick to good, healthy carbs only, protein forward. Personally, I don't eat any grains anymore...just too easy to slip back into old habits with them...but that's me.
I would just cook the fillings and skip the wonton wrappers - but I actively avoid processed and refined carb sources.
