Please troubleshoot my eating

I am almost three years out from my VSG and struggling to lose the last 23 pounds. Please troubleshoot my eating/routine and let me know what needs to change. I've only lost 1/2 to 1 pound per week for the past month and I'm very frustrated. I'm at 178 lbs and 5'7". Here's a typical day for me:

B: coffee w 2 Tbsp vanilla Premier protein and 2 hard boiled eggs

S: Oikos triple zero yogurt (flavored)

L: turkey sausage link sautéed with peppers and onions (1/2 c total veggies)

D: chicken leg or thigh with 1/2 c green veggies ( broccoli or salad or similar)

I walk at least 1/2 hour per day at lunch.

Any feedback, criticism suggestions welcome. Being feeling iffy about the yogurt cuz it has 14g carbs although 6 of them are supposed to be fiber.

Honestly? 1/2-1 lb per week at 3 years post op is pretty awesome! Keep it up and you'll reach your goal.

Are you tracking with MyFitnessPal? What are your daily calories and protein? How much liquid are you getting in? Are you eating anything else or drinking calories anywhere?

I don't track on MFP but usually do write down what I eat. I'm usually around 1000 which is maybe too much? I don't drink calories but I don't much like the taste of plain water so I usually am adding sugar free water flavor, like Mio, but the Aldi version. I have given some thought to the artificial sweeter having an impact because I drink it all day long. Any thoughts? As far as snacks, once or twice a week I will have a packet of sunflower seeds which has 170 calories. Maybe need to cut these out?

I am going on vacation in 8 weeks and optimistically (stupidly?) bought clothes one size smaller than I am now so really need them to fit!

Thanks for your reply!

I think that, if you're having trouble, your best tactic is to weigh and measure everything you put into your body and log it in MyFitnessPal. That's the only way you'll know exactly what's going into the system and how you need to tweak that to make the system (your body) do what you want it to. Anything else is just guessing based on guesses.

.5 to 1lb per week is normal, safe, and healthy. The only time folks lose more quickly than that is immediately post-op, and usually when they have a large amount of weight to lose.

Keep it up!

I think you are doing an admirable job! It comes off slower, but it is coming off. Your menu looks terrific overall. Maybe try a bit of cardio is all that I might suggest.

Thanks for your reply! I get at a minimum 1/2 hour walk at lunch but I'm going to try to add some more exercise in first thing in the a.m. I'm going to substitute plain yogurt for flavored and try to drink more plain water too and see if that makes a difference.

If you have a Trader Joe's near you, you might want to check out their organic herbal waters. They have lemon ginger and lemongrass spearmint. They are not sweet at all, but have a definite flavor. I don't do sweeteners of any kind any more, but don't really care for plain water either, and I have gotten to really like these herbal waters.
