Mobility ?
A few months ago I had an emergency microdisectomy due to a huge disc herniation at the L5-S1 region. I know about back problems. Sorry you are still in pain. Praying for healing for the both of us.
I have auto-immune arthritis, and even in a flare like right now where I have more pain, I'm definitely more mobile than pre-surgery.
I topped out at 306# (5'9") and am down to 198# for a loss of 108#. Makes all the difference in the world!!
I gave myself a pedicure the other day... that hadn't happened in decades.

My plantar fasciitis was so bad before surgery. That stuff is excruciating! It's totally gone now. And I used to hobble like an ancient person when I got up after sitting too long to walk across the room or from the car to a store. Now I pop up and go without having to think about how to disguise how much I hurt from those who might be watching.
The other day I had to carry a 40 pound bag of salt from the car to the basement for the water softener. I don't know how I managed to carry the equivalent of so many of those around for so long. We're super strong people under all this fat!
Haha... I remember when I went to the gym, the trainer said my legs were super strong. She had to keep adding weights!!! I didn't think about it then, but look what my poor legs have to manage everyday! I can relate to the stiffness. I always have to warm up my first several steps after sitting or lying for a period. Glad to know it gets significantly better. Thanks for the response.

Shannon - hang in there. Started at 271.5 at 5'3" and 55 years old staring down double knee replacement. I'm bone on bone in both knees. When I went to tour University of Pittsburgh (where my daughter is now a freshman) Memorial Day Weekend 2016, I had to stop and let the rest of the family continue the tour - I was in too much pain. 3-6 Vicodin a week for pain control on the knees in addition to anti inflammatories. That was April 2016. I'm now 1 year out, down 99 pounds. I can probably put off my knees being done for another 5 years. I fence (as in en garde) 5 hours a week. Do TRX once a week. Work out with a personal trainer.
When we moved my daughter into Pitt a few weeks ago, I didn't need any narcotics, was walking miles a day and loved every minute of it.
Does it still take me a few minutes to get moving when I first stand after sitting a while? You bet. I have severe degenerative arthritis in both knees. Does it hurt like it used to - no. Remember, every pound off feels like 5 to your knees.
You've got this.
Keep on losing!
