Home and sore
If you're in pain, contact your doctor about pain management. That's part of their job because you should not have to suffer after major surgery.
It sounds like you need to drink more - you need to get at least 64 ounces of liquid (any liquid, so protein shakes count) a day.
When will it start to get easier? Well, that depends. For me, I felt really decent within the first week or so. Some people take a bit longer. Go easy on yourself - you just had major surgery!

Congratulations and welcome to the Loser's Bench, Kim! Yes, the goal here is sip sip sip, walk walk walk! The walking will help your healing, and the most important thing right now besides that is getting your fluids in. You'll start making your protein goals soon, but dehydration is dangerous so get as close to that 64oz a day as you can!

Hi Kim,
Glad your home!!
My sleeve was 8-22. The first week was pretty miserable for me. I sipped all day and made myself get up out of my recliner every hour and take a stroll around the house.
I still have occasional stomach cramping, and still am fighting the gas.
My pain has mostly subsided and only flares up I make a move my incisions don't like :-)
Overall, I can assure that that it will get a little better each day!
