Scale Rollercoaster

I put my fancy scale in storage 2 months ago and have only had sporadic access to an old non-digital scale since. Although I've felt that this scale is not 100% accurate, I thought it wasn't likely more than a few pounds off. Today, I stepped onto an industrial scale in a laundromat and registered as 20 pounds higher than on the scale I've been using. Tomorrow, I am finally unpacking my digital scale and we'll see which is more correct. If I'm seriously 20lbs heavier than expected that will be such a huge disappointment!
Edit: my scale says I'm 14lbs more than the scale I have been using. I'm discouraged but motivated to stick strictly to my plan and get this done.
Putting the scale into storage is sort of like disconnecting the speedometer on your car and then being surprised when you get a ticket for speeding.
I did it once since surgery and had a fourteen pound gain when I got it out again.
Much as I don't want to see the scale some days, I still get on it.
