New Patient Consult-Dr wants RNY I want VSG. Help!

My surgeon believed in letting the patient choose but won't let you make a mistake. He is pro sleeve and thats what I wanted though he suggested considering RNY because I was such a sugar junky. I wanted the sleeve for pretty much the same reasons as you and because I was older and didn't want all the rearrangements. I think later regain can happen with either surgery. I am thrilled with my sleeve and have had only a very small regain after 7 years. Go for what you want. You have to live with it, not your surgeon. GL Diane S
