These days it's almost impossible to get anyone to do anything without complaining!

I had an awesome day yesterday with my first post-op follow up for my UBL and mastopexy. Then I had a horrible night and couldn't sleep at all. Couldn't get comfortable, couldn't shut my brain off, etc. Ugh. This morning started out all sluggish, but then I checked my surgeon's instagram and he posted a video of my surgery and OMG it's awesome and gross and super cool. So hopefully today will improve. (I posted the link in the Plastics forum.)

QOTD: I used to be involved in organized play for a collectible card game. I've been all over the US to run events, including Hawaii, and I even got to go to Torino, Italy to do an event there. It was a super awesome experience and I'm glad I had it. It's also the reason that I don't really care about traveling anymore. I traveled a LOT in those years.

1: protein shake
2: quiche
3: no idea since it's up to the guys

liquid and vites: on track
exercise: nope

Wow you guys sound like true troopers. I am one week and 3 days post sleeve surgery. It has been okay, I have to remind myself to eat and drink constantly. Finding this forum has helped me get re-inspired because you have all made it past the hardest times. Today I has 3 sips of my chocolate atkins protein shake, and water.

Any tips on how it can get better?

Take it one day at a time and keep doing what your doing, staying hydrated and getting your protein. It does get better, I promise. Follow your surgeon's guidelines and stay on their timeline of when you can advance to the next phase of your food plan. I got outside and began to walk as soon as I could, even if it was for 10 minutes. It helped me get rid of my "fuzziness" and get my strength back. I felt much better by the end of the 2nd week. Keep coming back to OH, ask a lot of questions. Before you know it, this phase will be a distant memory...Best wishes to you!

Set an alarm to remind yourself to drink every 15 minutes. Find a shake that you like.

When I was early out, I made myself drink 16 ounces of protein shake before I let myself start drinking my crystal light drink. So that was a great way to get in 60 grams of protein first thing in the morning.

thank you so much for this tip. I have scheduled the alarm for water on my phone. I just want time to pass by, I am taking it one day at a time.

I felt so bad, headachey and dehydrated by day 3, I made it my only job to drink from 6am until I went to bed. I never didn't have a drink in my hand. My doctor said protein drinks count toward your liquid oz count, so if I got nothing else, get 3 of those in. I also made peace with how weird and off-putting it felt to drink and did it anyway. By day 4 I was getting 100+ ounces, 70g of protein and felt so much better!
