Yoga?

I'm just exploring yoga to go alongside aqua workouts and some walking. My physio gave me a very gentle stretches and moves based on tai chi as part of a chronic pain management course which started me off. I still find them very relaxing and a great way of connecting with my body but I'm ready to push myself a bit harder now.
I do mindfulness meditation but find the very hippy types of yoga really uncomfortable but I love feeling my body getting stronger so challenging it with yoga is more fun than I expected. Right now I'm using DVDs and charts from the internet but reading your posts have confirmed my suspicion that doing a class with others is a good idea. When I can overcome my nerves I will try it out at my gym :)
