We're supposed to be just over 75%, but rain is in the forecast. We'll see...

I live just north of Nashville and we are suppose to be in the path for full eclipse. The college I work for is expecting like 6000 people to be on campus for an event they are hosting. I put in for the day off and I am going to watch from home with my kids. We have a perfect view from my yard and we got our safe and approved glasses a few weeks ago.

I live about 15 miles west of Portland, Oregon and will be getting 99.6% totality here. If I want 100%, then I would have to travel 18 miles southwest of home. I prefer to stay home and will be watching the eclipse on the local TV and watch the darkness from the slider.

We in the 100% totality arc. We are having a pool party because our pool deck has a full view of the eastern sky without and streetlights! Having brunch after.

I was born in Budapest, Hungary on the day of a total eclipse and would have seen one in Boston in 1957, but it was a cloudy/rainy day...

I will be doing everything I can to avoid being outside. However, it looks like I have to drive2.5 hours right during the time frame of the eclipse. Praying that we don't inadvertently glance up in that direction, ugh.

Are you doing anything special for the eclipse and what's your totality?

Phoenix will be 63 degrees apparently. I have friends who've traveled different places to be in the dark. I feel like I'm in the dark most of the time anyway just being me. What about a menu? I've heard Moon Pies are selling out in the south. Not on my diet plan, however.

I live in Nashville Tn, 100% totality, right over my swimming pool.
