Anyone 5'7-5'8
I'm 5'7" tall. HW was 283, SW was 230 and my goal was 145. I am now roughly 140lbs and will probably drop another 5-10lbs before I hit bottom (but maybe not?). I'm very happy where I am. I'm a solid size 4/small, somethings even a 2.

Trust me, I didn't either. When the Bari Center asked what I thought my goal might be I said 160 because that was 10-15lbs less than I was in high school and I was pretty happy then so shoot for the moon right? I hit 160lbs only 4 months after surgery though!

According to the charts I've seen, "normal" weight for a 5'7" woman is between 120-160 lbs. The best thing you can do is just decide on an initial goal that you believe you can achieve. Once you get there, you can always establish a new goal and shoot for that.
"Normal" for me (I'm 5'3") is 110-140 lbs; I chose an initial goal of 175, which my surgeon agreed with. Once I get there, I will decide if I'm happy there or if I want to try to lose more.
My starting weight was 265 with a surgery weight of 251. My surgeon asked me at our first
meeting the weight at which I had felt the best in my life. (Now bear in mind, I am 64. )
She put my goal weight at that amount, which is 165 (100 lbs). My personal goal is 160, so I have a little
wiggle room. I have lost 95 lbs (now 170), so I feel comfortable about meeting both goals by my one year
surgiverary date (10/12/2017).
I think the most important part of setting a goal is to discuss expectations with your surgeon and
being realistic depending on your age and build, and most importantly what you are comfortable with.
Being and feeling healthy are the most important factors.
You can do this!!!

i am just over 4 years out. I believe if we eat on plan our body will take itself to where it should. I went well below my goal weight and didn't worry too much because I knew from research and all the vets on here that there is usually a 10-15 pound bounce back around the 3 year mark. That being said, I had my bounce back and then stopped working March of last year and gained an additional 8-10lbs.
I am currently getting back on track and kicking the bad carbs and sugars out.
I started in a size 20w pant, ended up in a 0-2, now I wear a size 6-8. At this point the number on the scale is not as important to me, it's more of where I feel healthy. I felt my strongest and most energized around the 145lb mark.
Even people of the same height and weight will look different because we are all shaped and proportioned differently. Don't get caught up comparing yourself to someone else. Just take this journey as your own! Best of luck doll!!
