Whatcha Eating Today VSGers? Saturday 8/19/17

QOTD-I miss Pepperidge Farm's Lemon cake with DQ vanilla ice cream and Cajun shrimp pasta. Cake, ice cream and pasta were my go to comfort foods for a lot of years. I admit I do miss them, sometimes a lot:-) I am not at goal, but I do allow myself to have the short season, local foods such as peaches, cherries and sweet corn in moderation and try to adjust it on MFP. I am not meeting my protein goal, it's more than likely due to the wonderful produce!
B-Chia, flax & pumpkin seed porridge

Good afternoon,
My day isn't going well at all. Someone calls at 5:50 am. My friend is always in a hurry when I tell her I'll take her somewhere. She comes over and I'm not ready for the day or had breakfast so I feel rushed.
Little awhile ago, I dropped my crystal light all over the kitchen floor.
Qotd pasta especially macaroni and cheese.

QOTD: I can't say there is any food I miss now. I allow myself gelato (too much), and I just added back Creamy PB & Nutella. I'm working with my trainer to try to find a maintenance/happy medium between being a slave to 14 hours of exercise a week and a limited diet, to something worth living & how to maintain both in moderation & enjoy life.

Ugh, that whole "moderation" thing for us. It's hard to comprehend and even harder to actually allow ourselves in any capacity without it taking over, right? That's why I listed my few bites of cupcake as a NSV!

I'm just chilling today, so no big plans after trip and big day in St Louis yesterday. Got up late so only 2 real meals today, with a snack between.
QOTD: The thing I miss most is coffee. I still drink it, but it doesn't taste the way it used to since my taste buds are all screwed up after surgery. I miss how much pleasure I used to get out of my coffee. Now, it tastes okay, but it's not the transcendental experience for me that it used to be. I hope I get that back someday. * sighs *
