Whatcha Eating Today VSGers? Tuesday 8/15/17
Good afternoon,
I had a appointment with the bariatric center today. I gained a couple pounds since last year. They are going to send me to one of their behaviorilist for my binge eating. She was going to prescribe vynnase but my insurance doesn't cover it.
QOTD I'm surprised how easy it's to fall back into old habits.
B egg mcmuffin and string cheese
L tuna and cottage cheese
D cheeseburger, corn on the cob and strawberries sweeten with splenda and lite whipped topping
S caramel crunch protein bar
Have a good day
Yvonne, maybe check with the manufacturers of Vynnase and see if they have a medication assistance program. In the past, I was on two medications that were not covered and I qualified for the manufacturers assistance and received medication from them for one year. It might be worth a try. I'm sorry it isn't covered, but hopefully the behaviorist can help you.
Shire definitely has assistance for Vyvanse.

What surprises me about surgery is that I have now acclimated to my portions and I wig out when I see most people's plates. I'm not being judgy. It's more, "woah, I used to eat even MORE than that?! Whaaaat?" It's surreal. Some of my friends also come over (I live alone) and are like, why do you only have salad plates? I have to buy paper plates for guests now, hahaha.
M1: 30g prot. shake
M2: Siggi 5oz yogurt
M3: bunless chicken burger (made from thighs I ground) with caponata.
M4: if hungry: 4oz pork loin with some lemony egg sauce.
I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!
