Whatcha Eating Today VSGers? Tuesday 8/15/17
QOTD: I was surprised that I CAN live without certain foods. Friends and family can't understand how I can give up eating things like bread and pasta. When I first looked into surgery I couldn't imagine how I was going to make it without foods that for so long I just thought I could never do without (pasta, chips, fries, candy and junk). That stuff is just all in my head..I don't need it to survive. It's just an addiction and how I used to cope with stress and other feelings. My body needs real, nutritious food and I find myself enjoying things that I wouldn't before. I am so much more aware of what I put into my body.
B premier caramel in decaf coffee
L meat loaf from dinner last night
D TBD, we have open house at my son's school tonight where we meet his teacher and see his classroom, so depends on how long that lasts. I may warm up some meat loaf, or if time permits I will cook a meal before we go.
Vitamins and water good. Walking and have some painting to do at the shop if it's not too late when we get home.

Good Afternoon Gwen and the Menu crew. Great start to the morning, I jumped into the Hot Tub as soon as I got out of bed this morning. My old bones were making noise following my 10 mile trip up Big Slide Mountain yesterday. ( Pics on FB). Had a great day with my wife and we were able to mark off another Mountain in our quest to become Adirondack 46 'ers.
Accountability - spot on
QOTD - I am always hungrier at the end of day. I work out very hard and this contributes.
B - pure protein bar
S - Caramel Apple pie Greek yogurt
L - Chili
s- Buddig meat
D - Chicken Divane.
E - Gym night - shoulders and arms, light cardio
Stay healthy, Mike

Looking great, duffman! Oh, and btw...I want you to know you are causing me to have to make a 30 mile trip to a different Walmart to get the Caramel Apple Pie yogurt!! lmao They don't carry it in mine, and I didn't even know they made it until YOU started posting it!!! BUT I know I'm going to love it so it will be worth the trip!
Go to this link: http://www.lightandfit.com/where-to-buy/
Put in your zip code, and select the flavor/product you're looking for. It will then show you where it's carried in your area.
Cathy - you will love the caramel apple pie greek yogurt, I am anxious to hear what you think!

QOTD: I think it's more of a case of surprising myself. I have rarely been proud of myself in my life...low self-esteem from being overweight, yada yada yada. But I find I am surprised at how proud of myself I am for being so focused on my new lifestyle, and for not only not cheating, but actually not even being tempted to cheat. I am surprised at how completely I have changed my way of thinking about food. I sometimes get the "I can't get enough to eat" days, but when I do, I just eat more of the things I'm SUPPOSED to eat, not the old bad stuff. It's definitely a whole new world, and all I can do is pray I keep this mindset in perpetuity!! lol
Lunch (which was actually my breakfast since I didn't get up until 10:30am lol) with my sister and cousin today at one of my favorite pizza joints. Thought about trying to get them to make me one without crust, but glad I didn't...they were a mess today! I'm such a cheap date now, too...my lunch cost $3.05! hahaha
B: Baked meatball with marinara and provel cheese (and an extra one to bring home for another meal!)
L: Dannon L&F yogurt w/Fiber One, coffee w/H&H and xylitol
D: Either the second meatball or maybe bacon, with fresh zucchini
Water and vites on track
E: Walking
I heart meatballs.....still one of my "go to" foods!
Keep up the great work Cathy -
