I have gained 3 lbs in a week.

I was prepared for stalls, staying the same weight, but no were did I read a possible gain in weight. I have to put it in prospective, I have not eating over my TDEE to gain 3 lbs worth of fat. Obviously. But Something is not right.

By a week , I mean I weighed sunday, and weighed today on Thursday

I said before I did this surgery I will be the one it does not work for because I am abit bad luck.

I see my surgeon for the first time after surgery in about a week. What a disapointment I will be.

Surgery day : 20th june pre op - 244 4thJuly 2017 - 235lbs sunday - 221lbs today 224lbs

DELETED the rest of my rant.

The surgery is just a tool, so as long as you use it right, it will work. It's not like you got a lemon, and are destined to fail. You have to use it right and still put in work. No luck involved or needed.

It would be really helpful for us to see what you are eating. Are you getting 60-80g of protein a day? Keeping carbs low (under 30g)? Drinking at least 64 oz of water?

Hi, i have not eaten to much . I would not do all this to eat bad food

no on protien as im not supposed to do shakes my team does not want me to get protien from drinks but not to worry to much at this stage that il reach protein goals when i am eating more.

water last 3 days ive had like 17 oz a day because i just feel so disgusting and full and crap , im miserable

I hear you though i will only fail if i dont use the tool right. i have not eaten to much etc so dont know were the 3 lbs came from.

Are you weighing and measuring your portions? Are you tracking your intake via a tool like MyFitnessPal? Sometimes we think we're eating a lot less than we are.

The lack of water could definitely lead to the gain, too. That's a really small amount to be getting. Taking small sips throughout the day can help - and if you get more water, you'll probably feel better just because your body is more hydrated.

I'm pretty sure that people have told you over & over again that you need to get your water and your protein. If you're getting 17oz/day of water, there's your sign. You are dehydrated and it's a good way to end up in the hospital. It doesn't matter if you feel like crap, you need to drink.

And, I can't tell you to go against your surgeon's plan, but it sucks if it's not allowing you protein shakes. They are a good way to get in fluid and protein, and there's no reason not to use them. I'm 6+ months out and still using them and I've been very successful with my weight loss.

What are you eating? Not just "it's not too much", but what specifically?

i know people have told me time and time again, thanks for the reminder, ive done really well apart from the last few days. reaching over 64ounces for a couple days , but ive been in alot of pain ( due to disability) and its been hard to focus on that as ive been in bed alot. i know i need to drink though i do i physically gag sometimes i am trying.

tuna and mayo , i tried crab and mayo yuck. im not even allowed eggs yet but i had egg and mayo

salmon pate' , chicken pureed with mayo, i dont do variety.

I will tell my surgeon about the protein drink issue as i have still drank some anyway but they have made me feel sick so then decided to stick to the plan i was given. but il ask him when i see him as maybe he has different views to my nutritionist, he does not work full time at the hosp as he is a private surgeon for different hosps.

thanks for ur help and sorry for being fustrating

Are you weighing the chicken, tuna, or egg? How much mayo are you using? How many times per day are you eating that? Are you drinking any liquids with calories?

I use 2 ounce containers, and 4 ounce containers, eating no more than 1.8ounces aprox a time on average, and yes I weighed this out, i dont weigh individually , i mix a can of tuna, and add mayo puree it with hand held blender, then get my containers out and weigh each so about 2 ounces i put i each container. I do not know how much mayo I am using about 2 table spoons in the whole can of tuna of light mayo.

i eat sometimes once a day during the week sometimes 3 times a day, one time 4 times a day, i usually eat the same thing.

like if its salmon pate , i had 1 ounce 4 times a day that mademe very full.

And no liquid calories. the last time i had protein shake was perhaps 3days ago aprox?

I drink water, crystal light. though im tempted to just throw in the towel and have a vodka

From what you said, it seems like you're getting very little protein and very little water. That would certainly do nothing for your loss.
