Whatcha Eating Today VSGers? Thursday 8/3/17
I lost my voice and it's still dysfunctional today. Blah. Today is my pre-op with my surgeon as well. So that's just awesome.
1: protein shake
2: protein bar in car after appointment
3: curried beef pot pie (let the bulk cooking commence!)
liquid and vites: on track
exercise: nope (my hips STILL hurt from Tuesday's walk. Sheesh I'm out of shape.)

Adding an extra protein shake at some point to ensure I get the protein I need pre-op.

Holy moly my legs are sore today. We did ~175 squats yesterday at crossfit - ouch. Today its lots of lifting, biking, rowing, running and jump rope. My coach is on a bender -- we benefit by getting fit AF. It's also the first day of the crossfit games - so I get to watch the fittest people do all the craziest stuff. So fun!
I've hinted at this, but my hubby and I are trying to get pregnant. It is not as easy as it was for me 10 years ago. It looks like another month has gone by :(. I'm going to try to use the time to slim down so I have less stress when I'm gaining for the baby in the future. I'm content with how I look at this weight, but if I drop 5lbs then baby weight will likely be less stressful. I spoke to my plastic surgeon when we first started trying and he said it would be fine, but if I was at my low weight when I got pregnant then it would be best. I'm going to try to take off 5lbs this month. Then I'll reevaluate (and hopefully be pregnant!). I've been snacking more, so I think just reigning that in will give me the results I want.
B - fit frappe & coffee
L - stir fry
S - yogurt + blueberries & protein shake
D - bacon wrapped chicken + green beans
S - tbd
E - crossfit
I have contemplated adding crossfit to my weekly routine. I have issues with one of my shoulders and have stayed away from it thus far. How do you enjoy it?
I love my gym, and agree with the feel of community. I have been at the same gym for 2 1/2 years. I dont talk alot while working out as I like to jam with my music turned all the way up, but have met alot of great folks and say hello to folks I see on a daily basis. I would not be as committed in a home gym.
I need to try it, Thanks for the encouragement!
It is tough because of my sweetie's medical issues. Unfortunately her levels have to be perfect to stand a chance. She will be 37 next month and she was already a high risk, now she is considered elderly!
