Stall
on 7/31/17 3:25 am
The scale won't move. Every day, 183. And finally it moved to 184. I know stalls and blips can happen but so frustrating. I really really want to hit 179. Would make me so happy. How long does a stall last? Aargh. I've tried drinking more, varying foods, eating more (up to 875 calories). Nope. Stall.

The things I was told are: Make sure you are getting a minimum of 64oz of calorie free liquid per day and a minimum of 60-80g of protein (but to try for the higher side during a stall), keep your carbs at 30g or under and your calories at 600-800. If you're doing all those things, all you can really do is wait it out!
Don't eat more to break a stall, that's a myth and will just slow you down more and make it harder to slide back!

Stalls are totally normal and can last for days/weeks sometimes.
What are you eating? Give us an example of a standard day or two for you? Are you weighing and tracking everything you ingest using something like MyFitnessPal? How much liquid are you getting each day?

I am getting 64 ounces of liquids minimum, and everything is tracked in my fitness pal.
breakfast oikos triple zero with one tablespoon of pb2
one premiere protein drink
half cup fat free or 1% cottage cheese with one tablespoon pesto
Half cup fat free or 1% cottage cheese again later
and A hummus singles from Costco or another oikos later
Some weekdays the cottage cheese is swapped with nasoya firm tofu, rotisserie chicken breast, baked salmon. Each 2 to 4 ounces. And on weekends also, less cottage cheese and yogurt and more chicken or fish in 2 to 4 ounce portions. Some days also instead of cottage cheese I will have a sashimi appetizer. No rice of course!

It seems like you're on track with your eating! So just stay strong. The stall will break and you'll lose the weight. Three years from now you won't even remember this stall :)

A couple of thoughts - lots of slider foods. Yogurt, cottage cheese, hummus, protein drinks.
I know you say you will add chicken sometimes... but dense protein should be on the mwnu daily.
You don't say what your carbs are for the day, Dairy has carbs, and hummus is carbs mostly.
Everyone is different but for me changing up my food choices, and having some fat seem to work.

I think you and I had our surgery about the same time (early May). I too hit a stall this past week. I am guessing it is pretty normal. Just keep plugging along and your body will break free. PS I am super impressed with how much dairy you can get in in a day.

I hope your stall passes quickly! I wish in addition to not stalling my weight loss was faster.... but I'm trying to be patient.

Oh boy I hope it passes quickly too. I have my 3 month check up next week and I really hope to see a good number (anything in the 150s, is my goal). That would put me about 25lbs from my goal weight. But I am truly not disappointed with any number, this is work.

I'm plugging. But you all can empathize when you want something so badly and work hard at it too.
Oh well. Going to have a little salmon and cottage cheese. Measured carefully of course!
