Yesterday was a good day. We headed to a car show in the morning that our car wash was a sponsor of. We selected a vehicle and gave out a ribbon. We went over my aunt's house and helped her out for a little bit. We ended up getting a bunch of chicken, potato salad, coleslaw and rolls and having our employees and family meet us at our local back to the 50s car cruise last night. It was a darn good time!
Today I have a nightmare job of removing the alternator in my dad's Ford Focus. You literally have to unbolt the engine and move it forward to get the stinking thing out. I also have some brush that I'm hauling to our local composter. We will be taking my dad's trash to the dump. I put together a new tool box for the car wash and so while I've got the trailer on the vehicle we will haul that down to the car wash. We will be hitting the local laundromat for doing the towels for our car wa**** will be a busy but good day.
B: muchacha burrito
L: not sure
D: last night's chicken leftovers
Recovery day today after yesterday's half-marathon... i actually feel really good?no soreness at all?but the leg/bone/tendon pain I'd been feeling in my left leg since Wednesday or Thursday is starting to concern me. Will be careful for the next week to make sure I'm not injured.
Visiting the in-laws today for a few hours, other than that it's just a veg day for me.
B: protein shake
L: Salad and chicken lettuce wraps
S: protein shake
D: red chile and black beans
E: rest day

Taking it easy is a good plan. If the pain persists, it might be a good idea to see an orthopedist!

Hi All,
It sounds like you are all having adventures this summer weekend. I'm staying home and cooking - not so exciting. But I'm going to visit a friend in San Francisco this month. I'm looking forward to it.
I'm finally back on track. After a few weeks of failed attempts, I decided that I needed to get strict with the diet. So i'm weighing and measuring everything, logging everything I'm eating, and avoiding all carbs.
Guess what! it works. Its amazing how much I was drifting from the plan with portion size, and adding snacks here and there.
breakfast- salmon
Lunch - egg roll bowl - this is a great dish with sauted veggies and a little pork for flavor. Yum
Dinner - rotissary chicken
snack - fat free, sugar free pudding and blueberries - great snack.
have a good week, everyone
Carol
