I was completely exhausted for the first four or five months post-op, I had to take a nap pretty much every day. It got better by the six-month mark for sure.

My acid got better over time. My surgeon had me discontinue the PPI at 12 months, and I haven't had any acid issues since.

If you're having dry mouth, try a toothpaste or mouthwash made specially for it. I used Biotene toothpaste (got it at Walgreen's) and it made a huge difference.

Unfortunately, the lack of hunger went away for me and I do feel physical hunger again. This is a reasonably common experience, and it makes it that much more important to work hard during the "honeymoon" phase.
