Starting My Journey

So go figure...a day I have been looking forward to for weeks (My PCP appt to request a referral to the Bariatric Center), came crashing down 1st thing this morning..."is this Leanne? Yes, your doctor called in sick today. We will need to reschedule." (Insert palm to forehead). However, a few hours later I received an email back from my insurance company, and I actually do NOT need a PCP referral for a consult at the Bariatric Center! Woo!! I followed up to clarify and ask if I need a PCP referral at all, for any point in this process. If I don't hear in the morning, I will just call. Wednesday is the weight loss seminar tho!! So I'm really excited for that! My best friend, who had gastric bypass, will be joining me :) After Wednesday, Step 2, schedule a consult!
