What to eat on a crazy busy day?!

So last Sunday I began a 2 week- 6 credit graduate practicum. The first week was so much more crazy than I anticipated and I failed terribly in the nutrition department. In planning for this coming week (the final 5 days!), I would like to have a better handle on my meals but I'm sort of limited. I don't have a reliable way to keep food cold. I planned to bring cheese and lunch meat and due to the recent 90 degree days, my cold packs thaw out in the car by noon.

I am out all day 7am-9:30pm (and then an hour drive home). I don't know what to eat because I'm allergic to nuts and many of the protein bars out there just have too much sugar/carbs, plus they're crap.

Suggestions?

What if you bring your lunch cooler with you (if it's not too big) rather than leave it in the car? Even if you could have half your day's food be cold, that would be a plus.

Some shelf stable ideas:

flavored tuna packets

turkey or beef jerky

Freeze dried edamame

I forgot about the tuna packets! This might work! I'm a bit jerkied out, lol....but the tuna I could do. I've never had edamame, but the freeze-dried part sounds good bc I do like some crunch. Thank you!!

That's so funny, because I tuna packeted myself out in my soft food phase. At first I loved them, now the idea grosses me out. But they were helpful for a while!

I did the same! I still have 4 packets in my cupboards from last year!

The first things that come to mind are jerky and those vacuum packed tuna pouches. Would be easy to carry in a purse or backpack.

Could also try pork rinds and/or any kind of canned meat (tuna, crab, mussels, ham, etc) and I guess try to eat the more perishable stuff in the morning and the sturdier items in the afternoon/evening. And maybe there's a place you can buy some greek yogurt on the way home, just to get extra dairy/protein in?
