Those who got to normal weight what was your start weight please and how long did it take ?
I've never seen ANTM, so I don't know what you're talking about? I commented about the collarbones since I feel like I poke mine all the time since I didn't have collarbones before! Now I've been doing the same with my hip bones. Where did those come from?! My iliac crests are PROMINENT.
I almost complimented your tendons since they look rocking. It makes sense to me that your fat is decreasing since you're working out as much as you are. That's pretty fantastic!

LOL, Tyra Banks has this whole thing where she makes them curve their shoulders in to show bone structure during photographs. When you're MO and do that, you just get a double chin!
Something weird I noticed, my left ribs stick out drastically more than my right ribs. Never knew that before. My hip bones are also pretty damn prominent too!

Erin T.,
You and I have about the same starting stats. My HW was 259 and SW 230. I'm only 2 weeks post op and somewhat depressed that I'm not losing faster, but I've lost 10 lbs since surgery. Seeing your stats gives me hope! My surgeon said not to fret, because my weight loss will be slower. I just want to be successful!
If I may ask, did you do a rigorous exercise plan or did your weight mainly come off due to the surgery and following the life changing eating habits?
I started I think at 210 (5'0") in April of 2014 and hit 133 by November (my surgeon's goal). I then pushed myself to get to 125 (my goal) which took me about until Feb, then down to 121 over time. My face was very thin, but my body was good - size 4. I have put on about 10 lbs and it feels like 100. I was much happier at 122-123 and hope to get back there and get a tummy tuck!

There is a range of answers that will probably look like a bell curve. Some lose to normal BMI in 6 or 7 months. Some take a few years. Both are pretty rare though.
Most people that make it that far seem to do so in 12 to 18 months. After that it takes extreme dedication.

Highest weight was 475. RNY on 08/21/12. Current weight: 198.
M1 -24; M2 -21; M3 -19; M4 -21; M5 -13; M6 -21; M7 -10; M8 -16; M9 -10; M10 -8; M11 -6; M12 -5.
For me I was 376 at my heaviest weight and I had lost some before seeking surgery. I was 319 at surgery and reached my Drs goal of 170 at about 15 months out from surgery. I have surpassed his goal for me and am about ten pounds from my personal goal. These last ten pounds seem to want to hang on for dear life. I don't really worry much about the whole bmi thing since it is not a real accurate reflection of health. I look at body fat percentage and so does my surgeon, and I am in the healthy normal range of body fat percentage.
