Thank you so much Cecily! I think I saw on yesterday's menu thread that you were going kayaking, how was it? I used to kayak all the rivers I could get to here in western Montana, I loved it so much! Hope you had a great time.

I did! It was a lot of fun! We're on two lakes - Lake Michigan and a smaller lake with a channel to the big lake. It was like glass on the little lake so a perfect day for an inaugural journey. It's a good arm work out! We've got lots of small rivers that empty into lake Michigan around here, so that would be fun too sometime.

Montana is such a beautiful state, I bet the scenery for your river kayaking was amazing...

So glad you had a good time, I bet it was beautiful! Flathead Lake was like glass last night too, no breeze at all. Yes, the river scenery is something else around here. Right now the rivers are really busy due to tourism, but mid-June is when all the locals get on:-) Hope to be able to do it again next summer.

My day off, and trying desperately not to veg the day away! lol Was up VERY late last night and had to eat, so counting that as my breakfast (2:30am) for today.

Just filled out paperwork to start the process of going back to school (online) for my associates degree. I want to start substitute teaching, and need 12 more hours to qualify. Since I will be having a hysterectomy in a couple of months, the recovery time will be a good time to do the schoolwork. Wish me luck!

I think going back to school is an awesome idea! College is wasted on teenagers, I say...

Totally agree. I tried twice right after high school, quit both times and cost my folks a bunch of money. I was 36 when I finally went back, and only stopped because I got a job in the field I was training for! Now, I'm doing it mostly for me, and also because of the sub teaching. I want to get my bachelor's ultimately...just in general studies, because there are just things I still want to know!
