Finally on the losers bench

I am finally on the losers bench as of 7/11. Everything went great, blue dye test was negative, drain is still in until tomorrow. I was held at the hospital due to the first day I couldn't get enough fluids in. I am having no issues. Still on clear liquids until the 25th. Then I can go to full liquids. I started taking my vitamins again today. I came out of the surgery off of my metformin.

I am sad and frustrated because of the lifting restrictions which I know are very necessary. But I miss picking my daughter up. I miss holding her around the house and showing her pictures of her uncle/ my brother who just died. I miss those bonding moments. But I know that these 6-8 weeks are minimal time compared to the YEARS of my life I am going to get back. The hard work starts now.

Congratulations!

Can you snuggle on the couch together and look at pictures? I think you're giving your daughter a really great gift - she'll have a healthy mom in her life :D

Thank you!!! I can and I can snuggle with her in the bed as she goes to sleep, sit in the floor with her and play too. I am just so thankful for this fresh start to make sure I let her grow up healthy too. I want to set a healthy example for her. She's a year old and I pray she doesn't "remember" me so unhealthy except in pictures. I cant wait to tell her she is my reason for making sure I changed my ways. :)
