It annoyed me to no end when, in the beginning, they'd grab bites of food off my plate. I finally had to say, "look, you know I'm going to offer you what I have left once I'm finished eating, but holy crap, you MUST wait until I've actually offered!!" They got the point and stopped being so rude after that outburst.

Battling head hunger the last few days, but so far winning! Funny how it just shows up out of the blue now and then. I think I notice it more when I'm super stressed, and also when I'm PMSing (which I believe I'm dealing with both right now lol). Fighting it hard, just trying to keep busy. The fact that I feel full when it hits is helping a lot...not like the old days when I didn't have that to help me. Yay for our small tummies!

It's my day off so food is always a crap shoot, I never know what I'm going to have (except for breakfast, it's always the same).

B: Dannon L&F 80 yogurt w/Fiber One, coffee w/HC and xylitol

L: Maybe some smoked pulled pork

D: Hopefully to the store for more salad fixin's, and maybe a BIG salad with boiled egg, bacon, and cheese. I've fallen in love with the tender baby lettuces and spring mix combos.

Well the dinner last night was a success and the food got rave reviews..I got hugs from strange people who liked my cooking so much and someone asked us if we had a catering business (umm, no but interesting thought). This morning I wanted to sleep in so bad, but got up and went to church because I wanted to see the slideshow of all the bible school pics since I was in the kitchen all week and don't really know what was happening in the classrooms. Then we finally managed to get to the movies and see Despicable Me 3..it was funny and my son loved it. And we loved getting to have some family time. Afterwards we headed to a really nice steak house and everyone left phones and such in the car..so it was a nice family meal with conversation and steak of course! Now headed home to just chill.

B decaf coffee with premier caramel

S had a couple handfuls of popcorn at the movies

L New York strip and a few bites of salad

D the rest of the New York strip

Vitamins in. Water is a little behind. No exercise planned.

I have a question for you Gwen, I see that you eat very little amount. My question is when you say grilled chicken, you just eat 4 oz of grilled chicken? and when you say a shake, that is all you eat for a meal?

That is correct, yes. Breakfast is an 8oz protein shake because I've never liked having solid food in the morning, so it's a compromise between no food at all and not having solid food.

I keep my solid meals between 4-5 ounces. If it's a meat + veg, it's normally 3-4oz of meat and 1oz of veg. If it's a combined meal, like the meat and asparagus stir fry I made the other night, it's 4-5 ounces total of food.

I feel satisfied with this amount of food, so haven't felt the need to change it up.

Is amaizing that you can eat so little and be satisfied. I admire your determination and willingness! You are an inspiration!

Thank you. Sticking to dense proteins makes a huge difference in satiety.

I do the same, I've never liked eating food for breakfast... so breakfast is just a shake. I did cottage cheese for a while, but it's a slider food and I try to avoid it for now.

Same for lunch, I just did 4 oz of cubed chicken (with an array of spices) for the longest time. Now I make sure to add some broccoli slaw, riced cauliflower, or some type of vegetable roughage with that, just to keep my colon happy and moving.

It was difficult going from elaborate meals to simple meals, but I have the hang of it now. You don't "need" side dishes, you don't "need" dessert, and you definitely don't "need" appetizers. Just plan your meals out, WEIGH THEM, and eat simply.

I'm having a 'back on track' day. My mom turned 80 this week and we've been celebrating for a solid week with family and friends. I am exactly the same weight the last 3 weeks and I need to kick it back into gear. Amazing and frustrating that the smallest adjustments in my eating plan totally derail the loss.

Rain finally came to Phoenix and cooled things off (a sliding scale - high 90's) so it is nice for walking now too.

B: egg and crab omelet

L: chicken salad with dill and cherry tomatoes

D: catfish and coleslaw

S: Danon L&F greek peach yogurt

E: walking and shopping.

I've been taunting my FB friends every weekend when I go on long walks and telling them to get off their asses, so one of them took me up on my offer and we did an 11k (7mi) walk this morning while our spouses went to breakfast.

This will be another day in the negative, calorie-wise! Burned over 850 calories this morning...

B: protein shake

L: poke bowl

S: protein shake

D: ???

E: 11k walk so far
