Whatcha eating today VSGers? Sunday, July 16, 2017
Happy Sunday! Today I'm going into the city for a late lunch with my oldest/longest friends. I'm looking forward to it as I haven't seen them since May! They live in the city and have a really great rooftop deck with a view of the Washington Monument. It'll be warm, but there are huge umbrellas for shade and there should be a nice breeze. I'll wear all the sunscreen.
Aside from that it's normal stuff - laundry, meal planning, and some school work.
1: protein shake
2: grilled stuff (chicken and sausage I think?)
3: protein shake since I'll still need more protein to reach my goal, but it seems unlikely that I'll want to have solid food at that point.

More of the same here - gardening, a walk, maybe ride my bike, wash the car...
Does anyone make infused water? I bought a water infuser pitcher with a center basket/tube to hold fruit and herbs and made some strawberry, mint, lime water. I'm tired of the plain stuff!

D - Going to a luau birthday party so I'm rationing my calories carefully! I'm sure I will eat things I shouldn't but we are celebrating a friend's mother's 70th birthday. There will be a roasted pig, so that will be my protein. Beyond that, not sure.
Exercise - today is a rest day - worked out M,T,W,Fr Sa this week.

Morning all.
I am feeling a bit weary today as sleep has not been solid and I'm low on my calories. I'm in a protein shake and salad phase and need a little more substance in my diet, I think. Hitting protein numbers so that's good. Still, life is good and I feel blessed every day for having this surgery so my issues are just minor hiccups.
B: coffee w/ cream and sugar, HB egg, small can flavored tuna
S: Homemade protein shake (almond milk, syntrax caramel macchiato, strawberries, plain skyr, flax meal)
L: leftover greek salad with either chicken or swiss cheese add-in
S: Tim Horton's steeped tea, protein shake of some sort
D: BBQ steak tonight (Woohoo!) and some sort of veggie chaser.
Liquids: 2-3 L water for sure, coffee, tea (mostly decaf)
exercise: 30 minute walk

Surgery: April 30, 2014: HW: 288 SW: 250 Achieved Goal 149 lbs: April 8, 2015 CW: 158 lbs (working on losing 65 lb regain as of June 1, 2021. Weight was at 215 lbs). Fighting every darn day!
Still sick today. Yesterday sucked. It didn't matter if I had food or liquids it was as if I set a timer for heading to the toilet. I barely got 60 ounces of fluids and 300 calories. Yuck! Let's hope that today is better. I've lost 4.1 pounds in 2 days.
B: I'm hoping for 2 eggs
L: perhaps some refried beans
D: we are supposed to have friends over and the plan is to make gorgonzola steak with mushrooms and onions, pineapple shrimp kabobs and baked asparagus. I hope that all goes well.
I hope today is better too! I recommend just sticking to liquids and gatorades if you're still sick. :/
I had a stomach thing a few months ago and was reminded of the phrase from The Devil Wears Prada - "I'm just one stomach bug away from my goal weight." LOLZ.

Strangely enough it is just an intestinal issue. Obviously one effects the other but my stomach is fine.
As far as the goal weight goes, yeppers, if I could claim this it would be great but I can't. I did lose 3 pounds this week prior to getting sick.
Yesterdays food was different than planned. I went to mom & dads in the morning, before food, to do the weekly dremeling of dog nails. Breakfast of coffee with premier protein. Lunch ended up being a salad with a small amount of ribeye sliced on top. Snack of a protein bar. Dinner of a piece of pizza. Snacks of coffee with premier protein and rainier cherries. I went over calories, but have 0 guilt about anything I ate.
This morning the scale rewarded me with a 1.9 pound loss. Trip out.
AM: Coffee with Vanilla Premier Protein
L: Sausage & Egg
D: Chicken Breast, Asparagus
Water & Vites
COSTCO - yea!
Gym or walk in house
