INSURANCE APPROVAL

So, my case was submitted for insurance approval two days ago. I'm super nervous/anxious. I was wondering if anyone called the insurance company to check status or just waited for the surgeon's office to let you know the decision.

My surgeon's office actually called to tell me I'd gotten insurance approval before I even knew that I'd been submitted to insurance. :) I say give it a week before you start making calls.

Thanks. I'm so anxious that I'm checking my email like every two hours for the surgeon's office email.

Hahaha. I hear you. This relates to the XKCD comic I posted in today's menu thread - "if I refresh the tracking page, my package will come sooner!" :)

My bari center failed at telling me. They said it would take 2-4 weeks for approval and told me to just sit tight. So I did, until my final NUT consult and I asked her what my next step was and she went to look at my paperwork and said they had approved me in 2 days!

Wow! I think i'll call next week. I've had to resist calling all day today, but maybe Monday.

Mine took six weeks. I called on Friday every other week.

I really hope mine doesn't take that long. My surgeon's office said she hopes to have an answer in "about a week". I'll go crazy if I have to wait 6 weeks.

Still2cute my Doctors office submitted my paperwork and set the same expectation of 2-4 weeks but luckily for me it took less than 7 days. I called my doctors office the day they received the approval just to check in and make sure they had everything they needed. My carrier is Aetna Choice POS II through my employer. It will go fast...don't worry! You are on your way. It is quite nerve racking when you are hoping you did everything required! Stay strong ð?'ª?
