Is this DUMPING?

I have had my surgery 4th July, stuck to all the rules.

Today I was making some purees in advance as I start puree monday.

Avacado, milk, mayo and used a hand held blender.

When I finnished put them in my pots and put them away.

I licked the spoon , but it was liquid form let over like mayo and tiny drop of avo.

10 minutes later a big surge of pain very fast intense like a contraction came over me.

A few minutes later, I hit the toilet I have never had anything so runny in my life.

and i was spitting like i was going to be sick but nothing in my tummy to come out .

I am in so much pain

is this the dumping they describe?

Dont judge me for licking the spoon i was not even thinking , it was like a reflex.

It was not dumping, but was likely a reaction to all the fat.

That really isn't a good meal anyway. Stick to protein.

So close to surgery, the stomach doesn't handle that much fat very well for many people regardless of procedure. You probably, as Grim said, need more protein-solid meals.

I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!

I have to agree that avocado, milk and mayo puree is not the best way to start purees. Although fat is not then enemy, that's a lot of fat. Try more proteins and less fats.

This sounds more like "my stomach was not ready for what I put into it."

While a bunch of us suggested that you include fat in your diet, this is not what we meant. :) Your priority should be protein - this is not a good "meal" for purees. I'd recommend stirring your avocado/fat mixture into pureed hard boiled eggs.

And, once you start eating normal foods, you might find that your body is not ready for purees and you want to go back to liquids for another few days. Or you might find that something doesn't sit well in your stomach in which case don't eat it for a month and try it again later.

I would puree something protein heavy - meat, beans, tofu, eggs, etc with a bit of sauce (or your avocado mixture) to keep it moist.

I would just do a 3 ounce serving of tuna and mayo and that will probably be enough for several meals. See if your stomach can handle that. It was three months before I tried salmon, steak or chicken.

I eat fat all the time now :) Harvey was super sensitive at first though, so something like that would have caused Stomach Wars III.

I would puree mostly meat with some fat and/or broth. Broth helps a lot, too. Moist will always be easier. I made pot roast without potatoes and would puree that, for instance. I also pureed chicken and some avocado with some broth, and turkey and broth plus some fat.

I was allowed yogurt and cottage cheese on purees, too, as well as ricotta. I made ricotta bakes with pureed beef on the bottom, and a dash of sauce to be "italian like."

I had surgery on the 5th. 2 days later I was in the bathroom 2 times like that. 4 times the day after. Protein shakes and water only was my input. Scared me to death. But I read "liquids in - liquids our" so it didn't bother me too much after that.
