Cereal?
I was interested in the nutritional value after I read all the comments in this thread, and thought it would be beneficial to publish them.

Lots and lots of nasty carbs. Very little protein.
There are better choices to be made for the foods you should be eating. Despite what they taught in school, the food pyramid was wrong.

I love how even "healthy" cereal has sugar as a second ingredient :/

My clinic's diet progression allowed adding cold cereal at Week 5! I also LOVE cereal. That is why I do not allow myself to get near it. Processed cereal is a real trigger food for me. I have to eat it a box at a time. It is a slider food. The reasons for not eating it have been pretty well covered here. IF you do include it in your diet, please measure carefully and monitor how you feel afterward. I don't know what your carb allowance or tolerance is, but one cup of cereal is more than most of us can tolerate in a day. Better to get those carbs from some high fiber veggies. Good luck and healthy eating!

I'm realizing what my triggers are. Cereal may we'll be one. I discovered 2 of them this eeek. Pizza and pastries. Just a nibble turned into a piece of pizza. And just a bite of apple from an apple pie turned into 2 ounces of nutrition free food. Not that mybcalories went over for the day but it was just junk that did not bring me closer to my goals and made me feel like crap physically and emotionally. So, yup there are going to be things I miss but I just have to stay away from them if I want to get to my goal!
Why on earth are you even trying to eat these things at three weeks post-op?!
