Nine day post op

Nine days post op and I've done pretty well. I have been doing pretty well on the liquid intake. I haven't been hungry at all. No nausea or vomiting. I am, however, feeling very tired and weak. I guess it's normal considering I'm only on liquids. I am walking briskly during my breaks at work; 15 in the morning and 15 minutes in the afternoon. By the time I get home from work I am so exhausted that I don't want to walk anymore. I see my surgeon tomorrow. I believe he is going to start me on mushy proteins. We will see.

Congrats! I would rewrite that sentence in the middle to say "I guess it's normal considering I'm only 9 days out from major surgery." :) Keep up the great work with recovery!

I can't believe you're back to work already. I'm 2 weeks out and am going back next week "as tolerated" which for me means probably a few hours at the office and the rest at home with breaks. My brain is still foggy and I am tired a lot too.

I went back to work after a week, I made it 5 hours yesterday and so far so good today, 3 and half hours and I will have made it a full day.

You haven't done pretty well. You've done great. And you'll like tire easily for quite a while still. Most of us were fitting in a nap for a few months after surgery.

Keep up the good work.

I felt pretty wiped out for a month. It took several months to feel somewhat normal. You're doing great.
