Fitting NSV

I look in the mirror and I look the same. But I bought a pair of Escada Sport pants yesterday. Size 16. Not 16w, just plain old 16, for when I am "thinner." I put them in the laundry room, as did not dream of trying them on. Today I thought, maybe I should take them back since they won't fit me anyhow. Then thought again, as they were on clearance and with 40% off, that I should see how small they were, and consider keeping them. I put in a leg, then another, and up they went. Size 16. On me. And wore to work. Made my day....

Congrats!

I used to hate, and actively avoid, trying on clothes pre-WLS. Now I try on everything and won't buy anything unless it actually fits. It's totally different!

Omg there is no better feeling than fitting into something you thought wouldn't fit you. Congratulations. Never take anything back. Keep it and make it your goal. I have already started purchasing some "must haves" just because I know I will be able to fit into them sometime this year or next.

When my weight really started dropping I would take the size I thought I wore and a size or 2 smaller to the dressing room with me. Almost always one of the smaller sizes would fit. It took a while for my brain to adjust . I saw myself as bigger than I was.
