Getting in fluids

I found in the early days that it was much easier to drink Propel rather than plain water. It felt "softer" is the only way I can describe it. It went right down and made reaching my fluid goal very simple. It might be worth a try. Good luck.

I agree. Plain water still feels a bit icky to me at times.

I added sugar free Hawaiian Punch singles to mine but after 2 days that sugar free after taste was intolerable. I add lime lemon or orange real fruit to my water now- much more fresh tasting.

Once upon a time a person posted here to say that about the low pH water that you can buy? That it felt easier on her stomach than regular water.

I've always done Crystal Light with no trouble, so I never tried that, but I thought it was interesting.

I have heard that before too. A guy in support group researched it and found something attributing it to osmolarity. I was happy to hear that other folks had noticed it too -- and I wasn't the only flavored water weirdo out there.

Protein shakes count toward your liquid ounces so if you can start with those, you'll kill two birds with one stone.

My tip is start sipping the minute you wake up and have a glass of something in your hand at all times until you go to bed, sipping every minute. I got to over 100 oz on day 4 that way and felt so much better.

thanks, that's what I'm trying to do. I'm sure it will get easier everyday.

Liquids is your priority right now. I like to make turkey soup and only eat the broth. Thank way I'm taking in some vitamins at the same time. I go through SF pop cycles like there is no tomorrow. But it counts towards your liquid. My doctor hasn't put me on protein shakes yet. He said that's the next step but that staying hydrated should be my main priority at this point. I was sleeved on the 27th of June. Good luck.

Find yourself a container that holds at least 32 oz, fill it with whatever you like, water or anything that's sugar free & sip 2 of them all day. Take it with you in the car, to the stores, to work, etc. You'll be surprised at how much you will be drinking when it's always with you.
