ok so I'm not always the most organized person but now I am scatterbrained! I lost my work badge and can't find it anywhere. While I was searching for it in hubbys car I found my debit card so I thought - "better take this and put it away". Well I couldn't make it to my purse without losing it somewhere in the house! HELP. Why am I so ditzy right now?!?!

It looks like you're 12 days post-op? Are you still on pain meds? It does take time for anesthesia to completely leave the body, so you might still be under the influence, so to speak. And your body is spending a lot of energy healing still.

Everyone recovers differently, so it's hard to predict a timeline, but hopefully you won't feel so scatterbrained by the 4 week mark at the latest!

I experienced it for about 6 weeks. I know from the past, when my hormones are out of balance, it is the exact same feeling. Hopefully you find your "lost" items and things start returning to normal.

This is a common problem that can last several weeks post op. Some have made some critical mistakes returning to work earlier than they should have. Sometimes it's more than the body that needs recovery time. It was a good six weeks before I got my head on straight. Fortunately, I took 8 weeks off of work.

I am returning Monday "as tolerated" probably most of that from home. I'm feeling pretty good now- certain days my incisions hurt. I'm guessing that's days that I have moved more up and down. Yesterday was one of those days. I have a phenomenal boss and work environment- this was not an ideal time for me to be out, yet they've been great.
