Whatcha Eating Today VSGers? Monday 7/3/17
It's very late an I'm still up since I can't sleep, so I figured I'd go ahead and start this thread (it's nearly 2am where I live). I'll be up and out early today, and won't get home until late, so might miss posting. I figured, what the heck, nothing wrong with a little "early bird" action, right? Besides, I know you are all just on pins and needs to see my menu every day where I eat practically the same thing day after day! lol
Busy week for me this week, another new group of campers, up early Monday to do a special project for the camp owner, and then...drum roll...I have a job interview early on Thursday for a full-time, year-round job!! Fingers crossed and prayers are accepted, I really want the job!
So without further ado, my tantalizing menu for Monday lol:
B: Dannon L&F 80 yogurt w/Fiber One Cereal, vanilla & hazelnut coffee w/HWC
L: Frigo Swirls cheese sticks (out of meat have to go to Hellmart tonight)
D: Smoked pulled pork, salad w/hearts of romain, grape tomatoes, zucchini, and Kraft Three Cheese Ranch dressing (yummy)
Water and vites will be on track...I've been getting 105oz a day now...never thought I'd see that happen. I remember when 64oz was nearly impossible!
E: Traipsing around camp a lot today

My name is Erin, and I'm addicted to my friend's Ninja Coffee Bar. I'm going to bed looking forward to coffee in the morning and waking up happy I can get up and drink it. What is this life?! (Drinking decaf, BTW). It's all great, except that drinking it with protein shake makes it so another breakfast isn't needed and I seem to be eliminating one "meal" of calories per day. I'm supposed to adding calories. Oh well. I might need to buy myself a Ninja Coffee Bar and find some place to throw in some calories

L: Hillshire farms protein pack (will be out and about)
D: Leftover Prime Rib
S: No idea? Maybe a yogurt to make up for the one I miss at breakfast
E: I've been failing on my move goals, but I'm on vacation.

I had to google the Ninja Coffee Bar. I'm not a coffee drinker, but that looks spiffy. Do you not drink coffee at home? Or is this coffee better?

Prior to surgery coffee was like dessert to me - an occasional treat that was over sweetened. I'd get ice coffees from Dunkin Donuts with lots of sugar/cream.
Post surgery I had trouble with protein shakes and figured out that warmed up Premier Protein was the only way I liked it. Then I figured out that mixing it with decaf coffee thinned it out and I liked it even more. But, I haven't been able to drink the coffee for the coffee flavor per say.
So anyway, yes - it's that it makes way better coffee and I think I need to buy myself one.

Interesting! I admit, I'm always really curious about coffee drinking because it's not something I do. I'll occasionally drink hot tea, but only if I have a sore throat :P

I'm a little bummed. I kind of got into it with this egomaniac in one of my fitness / nutrition communities and now I don't feel comfortable there. It stinks because there was so much good there but he was such a bully -- and the options were either take it and act like he was always right, leave or say something and have him pounce and bully me. After a year and a half, I said something and stood up to someone else -- he pounced and it just became a place that is no fun now. So I've lost a place where I felt tons of support from other crossfitters and people who meal planned and blah. So now I'm on the prowl for some other place.
This is a great place too but I'm in a different spot than a lot of people here. I have to eat carbs in relatively high amounts if I want to be able to perform in the gym how I want. So I'm looking for another crossfit / nutrtion based community. Let me know if you know of any!

Ugh, I'm sorry that you had to deal with that in your community. I, personally, like seeing your meals because you are coming from a different perspective, but I can understand that you might not want to have to "explain yourself" every time you post here!
