Pre op/post op Diet

I had lunch with a friend this week. When the waitress took her order, she was asked what she wanted to drink. She replied, "I had gastric bypass and do not drink with meals".

I was so proud of her.

I do order a glass of water and drink up until I take my first bite of food. For RNY there is no reason not to drink before meals. It may be different for VSG.
