Happy Friday everyone! Let's get this party started. Art journal class for a couple hours for me today. First day. Looking forward to meeting new people and being able to express myself.
Was "obese" yesterday but back to being "overweight" today according to some BMI charts.
It is the start of the July 4th weekend for some. What fun activities do you have planned?
Have an awesome day!
B: Protein shake
L: Class - bringing water, ??
D: pork chop, green beans (2 or 3)
S: may skip because of class
E: depends on the weather when I get home
Here's to being overweight!
My three pounds of sodium retention from yesterday are gone.
I don't have anything fun planned. Gearing up to move in a few weeks, so a weekend of sorting and packing is on the agenda.
B: coffee, yogurt, and 1.5 oz chicken breast
L: salmon and salad
D: turkey burger with lettuce wraps
S: yogurt

I'm loving the sunny warm weather here in MD (something we haven't had in upstate NY all spring/summer). Yesterday, we took the kids to the county water park and let them play for a few hours. Today we're thinking we'll take them to a local beach and search out some shark's teeth (I have a kid who is a future geologist in the making). I am also loving wearing a bathing suit without a full skirt!
B: Dannon L&F w/ Cacao Nibs and Babybel
L: Turkey, Mayo and Cheese
D: Chicken "tacos" (chicken, lettuce, salsa, cheese and sour cream)
S: Premier Protein

I'm experiencing something new. Post-op depression. It's not even "omg what did I do to myself." It's more like "I'm so tired of being tired." I'm tired of recovering. I want to be able to do the things I want to do! But my body is like nope! And I'm tired of being cold all the time. Again. I remember this was a problem as I lost weight initially. I guess it makes sense that it's a problem again because of the insulation removal.
I'm hopeful that this weekend will be invigorating. My mom is coming tomorrow and it'll be the first time I'll have seen her since surgery. We're going to see Jesus Christ Superstar and it'll be great. Sunday she'll hang out for a bit before heading home.
1: protein shake
2: protein shake or leftover burrito bowl, depends on how my gut feels
3: whatever the guys decide. Last night Lance picked up Chipotle, hence the burrito bowl.
Liquid and vites: on track
exercise: I don't think so. I'm going grocery shopping around noon and I think that will deplete my energy.

Holy crap. I was playing around with my Trendweight and realized that I've lost 15 pounds since surgery 25 days ago and 40 pounds since my diagnosis (and subsequent treatment) of Binge Eating Disorder about 11 months ago.

That is really amazing and an accomplishment you should be so proud of! I'm very happy for you, you've worked so hard for this success.
In regards to your previous comment, it's difficult to be patient with yourself when you go from being vibrant and active to recovery mode and feeling 'less than' where you expected to be by a certain time. I went thru something similar however I decided to not listen to my body and rest when tired, and did too much too soon and pulled some stomach stitches. Just a couple but enough to make me realize that I must rest as much as my body requires. And plastics are no walk in the park for recovery.
You had major, major surgery and it takes a bit to get your mojo back. And it will come back. 25 days is not that long ago. It may take up to 6 weeks to feel like your old self and that's completely OK and normal. Even when you're a very energetic person the rest of the time. Be gentle with yourself. It's great to get out and try to get back to normal life but also recognize there will be days when you just want to rest and recharge. take care.
Surgery: April 30, 2014: HW: 288 SW: 250 Achieved Goal 149 lbs: April 8, 2015 CW: 158 lbs (working on losing 65 lb regain as of June 1, 2021. Weight was at 215 lbs). Fighting every darn day!
Thank you very much.
I'm trying really hard to be gentle with myself but, yeah, it sucks. It seems like there's a fine line between "trying to recover" and "not trying too hard too soon." Such a challenge, eh?

After a walk with my dad, I think I'll ride my bike (with my new helmet). Maybe a boat ride too? And I need to finish weeding my veggie beds. Then going to the neighbor's for dinner. So just little stuff, but fun little stuff.
B - coffee and yogurt
L - eggs
D - ?
S - protein shake
